SPC Potlatch in an unfinished smooth bent Savinelli Dublin which is darkening nicely but has not yet developed the deeper resonance and shine that older unfinished pipes of mine have. Potlatch is a steady new blend for me, consistently enjoyable. jiminks, love your cat pics.

Smoking some Warrior Plug and G&H Brown Twist in this rather interesting meerschaum pipe that the original owner scratched his initials on the bowl as B.E 1852. Rik at Briarville put a new stem on the pipe for me the other year after the amber one snapped in half after a collision with the ashtray on my desk. The silver hall marks on the band appear to be Birmingham 1865 so I think this may be a rather early French meerschaum although the case says 'Ecume Paris' which I suspect is a later replacement case. As you can see from my desk I am in full swing with my tax preparation for 2019 since I like to get everything over to my accountants by the first week of January. Its truly amazing how much paper you can generate and not make any money in this country! rotf13807

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am part way through this bowl of HU Directors Cut in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching The Men Who Built America.
