SPC Potlatch, recently opened tin that I am enjoying, in my good old Peterson Shannon smooth bent brandy sitter, B11, one of my favorite shapes and oldest Petes. This is a work horse pipe with a good big bowl, and is sometimes described as a volcano shape, though I bought it as a brandy and think of it that way.

Smoking a bowl of Rattray's Hal O The Wind in yet another home made beater shop pipe, snuggled up in my electric blanket in my shop. It is or was -23C this morning. Glad to be inside.

Upon first glance the body posture, the way the blanket is wrapped around you, the red shirt, and the strap around your legs made me think that you were in some kind of medical gurney. I though, "Hmmm. smoking his pipe as they load him into the ambulance? That's a bold move." It took my brain a few seconds to process that you were actually in a workshop. LOL

It was Boxing Day here in the UK, a Christmas feast day & Bank Holiday. We traditionally have a family roast dinner of a variety of roast meats rather than the Turkey roast of Christmas day & much family merriment with the kids enjoying their Christmas gifts. We used to visit relatives in the past on Boxing day, that weren't local. Boxing Day has become a shopping post Christmas Sales day (rather like Black Friday in the US), & there are sports fixtures today. Boxing day is derived from the giving of a Boxed gift to servants & others like postmen & garbage collectors, the tipping of postmen & garbage collectors went on until recent times but not on Boxing Day.
