Enjoying some 3 year old C&D Pirate Kake in a bare finish Sav 320.
Time has increased the creaminess of this blend. Much sweeter than when fresh with clear notes of Vanilla apparent, which is odd since this isn’t an aromatic. The pipe has never seen an aro so it’s not ghosting, just aging. Nice.

Relaxing after a wonderful beef bourguignon with mashed potatoes dinner, and am now smoking Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend post-WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite stem with a p-lip.

Freshly opened box of HH Pure Virginia in a Savinelli 699. I am really enjoying this new to me blend, cool smoking, easy burning and no bite. First light reminded me a bit of a subtle taste of Juicy Fruit gum. The smoke became richer and brought forth a very pure Virginia experience, it is aptly named. There is a soft sweetness present and the hint of Juicy Fruit remains but it tastes very natural. I am enjoying this!
