A quarter of the way through this bowl of aged Stonehaven in a straight sandblasted pre-transition Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver band and military bit with a black ebonite tapered stem. This will be interrupted by lunch, but I'll finish it afterward.

Now smoking year 2000 Christmas Cheer from a freshly opened tin that Basil Meadows brought with him. The pipe is a 1980 Stanwell 668 medium bend with a multi-colored ferrule, half black sandblasted, half brown smooth, rough top with a black vulcanite stem. A bottle of Sierra Mist is my drink.

Tinder Box Sunset in a no name "Made in France" rhodesian. This was the very first tobacco I purchased back in March. Found it tucked away under other jars in my cellar. I'm enjoying it.

What started as a joke turned into a much appreciated Christmas gift from creator of art, maker of pipes, baker of fruit cakes, cultivator of tobacco and all around renaissance man, Mr. Joshua Whitehead.
So, this afternoon, I’m enjoying a sizeable slice of Josh’s homemade fruit cake with spiced Chai Tea, and then a bowl of Josh’s homegrown, dark-fired Virginia blend in a Tonni Nielsen brandy. I wish we had Smell-O-Net, because the aroma is wonderful in here. The fruitcake smells like brandy and gingerbread (though Josh assures me that there’s no brandy in the recipe), the tobacco smells like licorice and bourbon and the Chai smells like vanilla, cardamom and orange.

The Virgina slices were fire-cured over cherry and briar. Smells like licorice and bourbon, but it's all-natural and smooth as butter. The appearance alone is enough to make your mouth water.

Now smoking year 2015 MacBaren Virginia No. 1 in a brown straight smooth Paul Perri billiard with a black acrylic tapered stem. Been raining all day here. Basil just left and we had a great time together.

Today I smoked some Rivendell in a MM Cob while chatting at the local tobacco shop. Ended up sticking around and taking a pinch of McClelland No 1 Balkan and smoking that too. Got home and sparked up a bit of Country Squire Shepherd's Pie. I'm looking forward to finishing that bowl while walking the dog later.

LNF in a Sav 673 KS bent bulldog, which may be the Sav that looks most like a Peterson

A couple minutes away from smoking Watch City Stubb’s Pipe in a light brown 1979 rusticated medium bend Italian Sir Jeffrey Dublin sitter with a flared top and yellow saddle stem. Watching Wanted: Dead or Alive.
