PC Home and Hearth Midtown, Chestnut, in a Sav Oscar Lucite prince 315KS; this non-aromatic blend of five or six tobaccos is best enjoyed in a wide chambered pipe to bring out the various component leaves.

The holidays are hopping and I haven’t had much time to post pipe pics lately. Still, I couldn’t let this smoke go by without some documentation as both the pipe and the tobacco came my way through the courtesy of a friend. I have here some of Herbert Motzek’s Curly Strang Cut in an E. Wilke oval-shanked billiard. My friend mentioned that he was never too enthused about the pipe. Having seen his impressive collection, that’s completely understandable. I, however, am willing to share enough enthusiasm for the both of us. What I have a harder time understanding is that he said that it took him some time to warm up to the tobacco blend. I think he may be more guarded with his affections than I am, since I am prepared to declare my undying love for it.
