Easy: Molto Dolce is my standard favorite; my standby goto is Carter Hall. After all my experiments with various tobaccos, my favorite still remains one of the first tobaccos I tried, with Dolce, which I selected by using Sutliff's test. The test actually worked, in my case. Of pipes, of which I will have ten as of tomorrow (my third Nording), I have several favorites: my two Ashtons (one a straight billiard, the second a rare freehand and pebble-grain blasted, truly one of my most attractive pipes as well as one of the best smoking); my Dracula series and a Peterson Irish Harp (with a gorgeous silver band), and three freehand Nordings. They are all excellent smokers with each having, for lack of a better description, a personality. But the Ashton freehand I would kill to keep, and got it for a steal from whom?--Shiny Pipes on eBay! Who would have thought? The grain is amazing; I've put a photo of it below.
