Finest smoke of this blend I've had yet, just wish it wasn't in such a small bowl!

Well, Viprati burns cool, but quickly. Listing my next smoke a little early: MacBaren Modern Virginia Loose Cut in a post WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 Bulldog with a sterling silver band.

Last smoke before sleep is Wineberry Match in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer. Not a bad aro at all. Smooth and flavorful. Later this day, I'll try the original and see what I think of that.

Lately I have been into Aro's, I find the cherry Aro I have is a bit syrupy but is beautiful when I wean it down a bit with some vanilla Aro. As I venture deeper into my piping career I remember back in the beginning when I only really liked sweet mild tobacco's like Carter Hall and prince Albert but now, I like to think my tastes are a bit more refined and I see myself seeking different blends that I'm actually liking when early on I didn't like them. I am sipping more and enjoying the multiple layers of a nice tobacco instead of puffing my pipe the way I used to smoke a cigarette. This is the best thing since I learned the pleasures of a good 69 !!!

@toby67 - interesting comparison!
Paul Olsen St. Croix in a new 1/8 bent billiard by John Marshall at Millville Pipes:
KsfiTqX.jpg

TCM in the UK are playing all of the old Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies; pipes everywhere - along with atrocious Mockney accents, bad acting, and improbable plots! Interestingly, none of them seem to worry about carrying an unlit or cooling black blasted billiard in a trouser pocket. Must have pockets full of tobacco and ash!
