Part way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time. Tomato the Brave ate extra and was galloping around the house. Then he wanted to go outside, and I watched him run around the back yard like he was chasing something. He wasn't, the silly fella.

GLP Horizons in a Dunhill ES 4109. Loving this blend, pipe is ok at best. Will continue smoking it to submission. Love the crisp exhale and aftertaste of Horizons.

Long, tough, and emotionally draining days at work lately. Treated myself today with a wonderful mountain bike ride after work and now settling in with this bowl of Bayou Morning Flake in my favorite Stanwell 083. Spotted Cow on the side . This evening sets me up nicely to be able to make it to the weekend.

I got a sad but expected phone call today, and it felt like the right time to break out an estate pipe I picked up from Bisgaard Pipes a few months back, a Stanwell POTY 1983, which also happens to be my birth year. For its first smoke, I went with C&D Haunted Bookshop Cake , paired with some sweet tea.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of Legacy Collection: Harbour Dreams(Per Jensen) in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Pirates-Cardinals game. M'lady made three more catnip socks so everybody can get a chance to be brutal to them. Molly Danger almost rivals Harry the Hairy and Tomato the Brave for that. She hasn't let the one she's dealing with out of her paws for over an hour.

Roughly halfway through a post band practice smoke of a new to me blend Atlas Balkan in a Cayuga Bulldog. I dig it as a smoke it's a nice muscular Burley with a good backbone of Latakia and Perique. Not sure if I taste any Oriental so I don't know where the Balkan comes in but it's a tasty smoke that reminds me of Big N Burley but with the components turned up and an absence of (detectable to me) Turkish.
