This morning, Sir John's Flake Virginia in an Altinok.
Halfway through some Sun Bear Navy in a Savinelli Trevi Prince. Cube cut the broken flake this time and I think I've finally cracked the code on this blend vis a vis preparation and drying out. But I guess that's half the fun of it now isn't it.
This afternoon, 4/19 Germain's Rich Dark Flake in an Altinay.
1/18 Dunhill Flake in an Altinay. On a whim, I bought a box of.Fiery Cinnamon Black Tea with a recent Adagio order. As it turns out, it compliments this blend nicely.

From Beyond '23 in the first smoke of a Savinelli 320 KS Whisky. I've had this pipe for a couple of weeks, but was holding off smoking it until I felt like an English. Tonight was the night!
Relaxing after a wonderful small salad, big porterhouse steak and baked potato dinner with a third of the peach pie m'lady made earlier today and a small bowl of vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. I just finished smoking year 2014 FVF in a straight smooth dark brown 1896 W.H. Newman, Ltd. billiard with a sterling silver band and a tapered yellow and orange stem with white swirls and an orific bit. Too humid for coffee tonight, so ice water and bergs is my drink.

The thunderstorm that followed made a bit of a mess.
Didn’t get a picture of the smoke, but I had a bowl of Odds and Ends in my Grabow Color Duke mucking about.
Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking C&D We Three Kings 2025 in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a tapered dark tortoise shell colored acrylic stem. Working on the review.
Started the day on the road with the Black Meerschaum and Five Brothers, followed by C&D Epiphany in the Andreas Bauer silver spigot meerschaum, then Sun Bear Black Locust 2024, Opening Night and now Sansepolcro 2024 in the Black Meerschaum. Both of these pipes are 9mm.
Now 4th week of Aug here in MN (State Fair Week) & with night temps in the 50's, it's being call the "Aug Chill", after last couple weeks of some daytime temps high 80's, even a 90.
NOTE: Last week, I'd parked my car facing West at the gym. When I returned, my temp gauge said 100 degrees inside, with outside temp of 87. I felt a quick kinship with my Forum Brothers & Sisters in TX, NM & AZ (CA?).
IIRC, the hottest temps I've ever experienced were 102 & two days of 105 in June, years back.
Hmm ... waiting to undoubtedly now hear comments from certain citizens along the lines of "I'm FREEZING"!

My wife joined me on the patio this evening as I smoked my pipe. She said she was cold and went in and put on long pants and a long sleeved shirt. I was tempted to do the same but figured I would tough it out.
