Good week and pipes to all! Spent yesterday with Pease Samarra followed by GH Brown Flake Aromatic, both in Upshalls. Today has featured Pease Westminster in an Upshall P Lovatt followed by KBV Van Gogh in an Upshall P Bulldog with quarter-bent hex shank and matching saddle stem.

Tashkent (the right choice!) in the Imp Sitter with an Imperial IPA after a day of fussing about with old tractors and a bit of field mowing. Hot and dry today..a few days into what is likely our last spot of hot weather for the year.
Keeping me company while I tidied up the garage and did an oil change on the bike was a bowl of Casey Jones Beyond Brave, followed by C&D OJK loaded in my corn cob.

I had that exact bike (well, assuming it’s a cross check), purchased new and then stolen from my garage in Southern Indiana somewhere around 2014. Had it all set up with a rack and fenders, etc. Still not over that oneSome excitement this morning at my abode. I was out lateish last night for a good friends birthday party so I wanted to sleep in a bit. I think my 20yr old Calico, Freya, wanted to as well but in the second bedroom the young Casio Cordell was yeowling up a storm, wanting both food and attention. So I got myself out of bed, got the coffee going, got Freya fed and watered and then I went to take care of my own business in the bathroom. All while I was doing this the little guy was raising such a stink that Freya went up to the door and hissed very loudly several times. Well I guess Casio got the hint and shut up ha! Anyways I got the guy fed and gave him a bunch of attention and he’s all good. Yesterday he had a busy day and was tuckered out by late noon. View attachment 412968

Well, here's this afternoon's smoke. Having it right now. Chomping on the MM Minicob shown in the kit, with a bowl of Capt Black Cherry. Being lazy and just reposted the snap . . . . . , but have added another snap underneath of what I've managed to fit in my freezer compartment of my fridge so far. This now goes down to my large freezer downstairs, and the compartment will be filled over the next two or three days with frozen packages of apples, and my cupboards with dried slices, and dried Saskatoons, too. Yah, I know. I'll find sympathy in the dictionary between s**t and syphilis.
Haven't left the forum yet . . . . was enjoying posting and catching up, and switching between the forum and Evening Gnus. Always makes me feel a bit truculent. So gonna leave now and turn off the 'net before I go a bit wrangy. The freezer compartment is three packs deep. Actually feeling quite proud of myself
will return tomorrow. Maybe. And maybe not. Right now I need a cigar.

Savinelli Cumberland 803 packed with Nording Labrador. Started off great but I think I was smoking too fast. I was talking to somebody and distracted and it got hot and lost its flavor on me. I wasn't too happy with it. My cigar from this morning sitting there, I thought I'd light it up and get some puffs on what was left of it. That was okay.

First smoke is Five Brothers in an unsmoked Julius Vesz Hand Cut 1998 estate.
This is a beautiful pipe. I looked up Rad Davis pipes after seeing this, and I don't think they make them anymore. It was like just Rad himself making these pipes I think. But anyway if you look at any of them, they are all incredibly beautiful pipes. The guy really took his time with em. Anyway, very cool pipe Keith.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I just finished smoking year 2020 Dunhill Elizabethan Match Plug in a black and brown sandblasted quarter bend 2015 Brebbia 2112 Fat Bob squashed tomato with a tapered black acrylic stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in quite a while. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Red Sox-Yankees game with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Harry the Hairy spent most of the day inside, but we put him out so Molly Danger could be with us in peace. Just the sight of Harry upsets her. Tomato the Brave was in earlier to eat, and we played for a few minutes before he wanted out. Lately, Daisy the Feral Princess has been more interested in being in her favorite deck chair than being with us although she loves the attention she gets when we get around her. She's eating less lately, but not losing weight, and she could stand to lose a couple pounds. In a little while, I'll bring her inside and see how she does.
