Rattray 40 Virginia from 2017 in a Comoy 2021 Christmas pipe - a bent Dublin.
Just finished smoking year 2012 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
HU Janneman Flak in an IMP Poker and Diet Coke on the side.
Now smoking year 2010 Mac Baren Burley London Blend in a 2017 smooth, straight medium brown made in France Comoy’s Riband 298 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Thank goodness for people that really understand these things......................My laptop was 15 years old, some of the keys stick (made it a serious pain to post smokes the last couple of years), my browser was out of date and I couldn't read a lot of websites any more. I got a big discount on this new laptop and had to do it.
As for being a Luddite, which I most certainly am, I could not have gotten this new laptop working without the help of my friend who did all of the work of getting me set up. I remain defiantly computer illiterate. And regarding telephones: I still use tin cans and strings when smoke signals fail.
Passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Fed my cats, and all three ferals. Going to clean a few pipes now.
Morning Smoke: A Lull in the Action: finished loading the dryer with berries, and am having lunch before getting back to the tasks at hand. Had a great morning smoke with Mike and next door neighbour Dave, and ended up planning an imminent fishing day locally with Dave.
Session took place at my outdoor Picnic Table #1, which was basking in fine sunshine. Evening smoke will probably occur at Picnic Table #2 when it will be in the sun, and Table #1 in the shade. Used part of the contents of the illustrated travel kit shown, smoking the morning MM Minicob shown in the pic, loaded with the sort of normal AM Captain Black Cherry Cavendish, followed by the not quite as normal Blackstone Cherry Cigar. Mike won't be joining us for the impending outing because the poor guy has to work, and both Dave and I are retired, lol

Skippable Drivel: I have two such travel kits, basically the reverse of each other. The above kit has my straight Falcon with the Bantam Bowl dedicated to English, and the minicob for morning cherry, which I smoked. Then the cigar as shown. The film containers are loaded with either aro or English style tobaccos, with the appropriate pipe also contained within, depending on what I want to smoke.
The other kit is similar, but reversed - different color so I can grab the right one, but the larger pipe is for aros or whatever, and another identical minicob biased for Englishes or Balkans, and another type of cigar. Yeah, I'm anal, but the system works great for me. Both kits aso contain a lighter or matches, a pipe tool, cleaners, tissue, and whatever else is needed for a short jaunt.
An interesting development is my decision not to buy any more cherry flavoured cigars. I'd rather smoke the cherry aros in a pipe, or make home-rollies with Captain Black (or other cherry tobacco). These simply taste better. I'll include a grape, chocolate or plain cigar instead, there being no such economically viable available pipe tobaccos in this area I live in (except my own home mixes, which are still in experimental stages but very promising) to make a decent alternative.
A container of "chew" is also included in each kit. The kits are pretty well as good as I can get them now, because my priorities on day trips is with fishing gear and hunting tools, which require a bit of planning depending on the lake or backroads to be visited, and what the quarry is. There it is. Back to the grind.

My second new J Davis, this rather avant-garde finish really spoke to me. I tend to like really clean ring grain and this thing is a mess, but in a good way! Breaking it in with Chenet’s cake. The accent is black and white ebony wood, I like that the dark side is on the side with the plateau!
