Almost half way through this bowl of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed all the cats. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Did a set of walking reps, and am not far from finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. Tomato the Brave came up to me twice for a head scratch while I was walking. His "meow" has turned into a "yip" when he chats with me. Watching the Braves-Guardians game.
Man, I'd have conniptions with that pipe . . . would rate it very high except I tend to rate pipes extravagantly that I'd like to own. I'd destroy this beauty . . . . it's rusticated in the wrong spot. 'Cuz I got only one eye and no depth perception (series of strokes fifteen years ago or so) I char the tops of my pipes with aplomb. And the aesthetic appeal of this pipe depends on a clean bowl top. And pipes that ARE rusticated on the top and clear briar below, remind me too much of a toilet bowl to own. Stuck my head into too many of them in my rowdy past, and it's time to forget.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Getting ready to clean a few pipes as I watch the ball game. Harry the Hairy is being cradled like a baby by m'lady. The other two ferals are outside. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.
It wouldn't be Sunday without a big bowl of Cowboy Coffee in my IMP bent egg. Black french roast on the side of course. We had a decent rain come through last night to freshen everything up, and leaving a very pleasant 70° afternoon.
The last of the Telegraph Hill, in the Bones Poker, with midday coffee. Had about 1.25" rain over the last couple days. Finally moved on we think about an hour ago... dry skies ahead!

Peterson's Irish Oak from 2009 in my little Granhill Select. Dry (as in red wine - not sweet), slightly astringent, nothing fancy but quite pleasing. It's a balmy 98 on the front porch this afternoon.
