A third of a bowl left of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Fed my cats, and the ferals. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

V.F. Cherrywood Morta filled with Lane Ltd Macanudo plus a pinch of cigar leaf (from a Southern Draw Manzanita). Wow, this is a pretty nice combo -- it really amps up the Macanudo light aromatic. I'm glad I still have another tin of Macanudo, since I don't believe it's available anymore.

Drink is iced coffee, black. Gold Star Celebes/Sulawesi. :coffee:

@JimInks You said you hadn't tried their Sulawesi. It's fantastic, and different from both the Yemen Mocha High Grown and the Peruvian Machu Picchu. I can't necessary describe the aromatic nuances ("no rough edges!" ha ha) but it's very high quality, brews a very dark, almost black color, devoid of any bitterness. I feel good recommending it to you, considering you like your cofffee neat. It's absolutely a perfect straight black coffee, in my opinion, and again, is unique compared to the others. 😸

Some astute observers may have noticed my V.F. Cherrywood Morta sporting a new look. Most of my pipes have a ring between the shank and stem. For some reason, I found the plain look of the morta was not "bringing me joy," so I fabricated a hardwood ring. It seems to be smoking just fine, even though the tenon is not fully seated. The ring is snug but removable. So far, I'm happy. :)

Nice work, man. Definite aesthetic upgrade, IMHO. All the cooler that you DIY'd it.

Moving on to a bowl of Cloud Hopper in a Stanwell Nanna Ivarsson. Getting to the bottom of the barrel on this tin and certainly find it replaceable.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, broke down a few boxes for recycle, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave were hungry again, so they are in and eating. I'm sure they want to be out of the rain, too. Harry the Hairy ate earlier, and has been snoozin' since.

Part way through this bowl of year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Cleaned a few pipes. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' by my feet. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.
