After polishing off my tin of Kopp's YotD, wasn't sure what I wanted, smoked more of my WCC F.U.S.T.G.! and then yesterday had some GLP Embarcadero, forgetting that it takes an hour and a half to smoke a bowl of it in my pipe that otherwise usually only lasts about 45 minutes—decided to save that one for moments when I can smoke multiple times per day where I can have half of it in one sitting and the other half later.

So since I only have two left in this series, decided to finally pop Rackham and honestly, might be my most favorite of the Caribbean Blue series (I only have Wynne left to try after this). Totally unexpected based on the flavorings listed, I figured it would be more in the middle of the pack. The cherry really stands out in this one.

Also funny, seems like it's the lowest rated in the series as far as I can tell. I still like it.

Now smoking year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Special Curly in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Lumberman with a long shank and a black vulcanite saddle stem, unbranded. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Caught me in alerts just as I was heading out. Taking three or four days off solo. Peopled and media'd out. Too much crap going on in the world and I'm doing a solo. About the only thing I'll miss is the forum cuz I still have lots to learn.

Slugs weren't at the smorgasbord - I was unclear here. I was watching some mallards gobble up slugs at the local park. I just compared their enthusiasm to my own at a Sechuan Smorg.

Apparently slugs are somewhat bitter in taste, according to any reports I've read. Never felt any necessity to try them, and have no intention of doing so, either. However, your chicken heart concoction in bacon grease with sliced onions and mushrooms sounds great. I've done similar things for sure! I'm quite a fan of stewed chicken gizzards in gravy as well. Bon appetite!
Yes! One of my favorite things our mom made when we were kids was chicken giblets gravy over hot biscuits! Oh yum!
And I totally agree. Too much going on. Getting out in the woods is the only way to find some peace. Enjoy the solitude.
