Morning smoke of Barens Golden Extra(Golden Blend ) in an Ashton XX Pebble Grain long billiard anno 2025
Coming to the last quarter of a bowl of Riverboat Gambler in a Vauen Empire 069 dedicated to the blend so far.
I didn’t know Orientals could ghost a briar until someone asked Jim in his latest thread on the review of Sun Bear. Maybe I’ll have to start having some dedicated pipes for blends with Orientals. I usually divide my briars into Va and VaPer, Burley Based, Latakia and Aromatics.
I haven’t smoked this pipe in a while and I forgot how easy and comfortable it is to clench with its short saddle stem.
Ate the rest of the chocolate meringue pie, and am smoking Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Hate to think what I'll weigh this afternoon.

I’m a huge Vauen fan and—after admiring these fantastic pipes—was disappointed to see none of the 69 shapes available on SmokingPipes. I might have to have a look around to find one!

Near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2023 H&H Viprati in a 2000s brown quarter bend sandblast Pierluigi 140 brandy military mount with a silver cap and a caramel acrylic saddle stem. Just fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger. The ferals are outside. The rain has stopped.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke Pickett’s Charge in a post-WW2 straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 3 bulldog with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Going to check on the ferals one more time.
