A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Barely started reading box scores because Harry the Hairy was hungry... or so I thought. He really wants my time. He's been getting it, too.

Enjoyed a big, tasty golden delicious apple, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was the original 515 that Basil Rathbone smoked. I may end the day with this smoke. I went outside to see who was hungry, and the only thing on the deck was a possum. He seemed unhappy that there was no food out there, and stared at me like I was a villain because I didn't feed him. I told him to beat it out of there and he did. He didn't seem very afraid of me, though. About ten seconds after he walked away, Harry the Hairy popped up from under the deck, and wanted in. So did Tomato the Brave although he was a few feet away from Harry under the deck. Harry ate and went out. Tomato did the same thing, the li'l copycat. Daisy the Feral Princess is still snoozin' on a blanket. She hasn't moved in over three hours. I'm going back to reading baseball box scores.

Experimentation time: Yesterday I had cut maybe ¾-inch off the end of my cigar due to being dry (storage issues). I decided to cut it up, humidify it a bit, and pack some into the pipe tonight.

I've read some past threads of folks trying this, without great success. I have to say, this is really not bad. Perhaps it helped I only packed about one-third bowl. The biggest issue actually is keeping it lit. Probably a little moist. I will definitely experiment more with this.

Back home after spending the night with family out near the ocean and spending the first part of the day hitting several oyster beaches. Several limits met and dinner's gonna be good tomorrow. For tonight we hit a diner and are doing a chocolate fudge cake for my son's 21st before the drinks hit the table. He got knuckle-busted a few times but it was all worth the catch.

Back in the lounge for a quick restful pipeful of Exclusive in a Bonfiglioli, then back to the house for the rest of the day's festivities.

What does it mean to get "knucklebusted?"
