Cleaned a few pipes, and am off to do a little work on a new Archie story with a bowl of year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. This was my first Sasieni. Bought it at my local Tinderbox for $9.95.

Passing the first third of this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. My last smoke was a test to see how well that pipe performed while I worked. I was happy to see that it did very well.

Picking my guitar and enjoying the same old billiard and the same old 2012 Mac Baren. I keep returning to this pipe because as it warms up I can taste all of the Latakia blends I put through it when I started my pipe journey. Frog Morton Across the Pond and Nightcap were the first tins I bought. I smoked those as well as lots of Bohemian Scandal in this pipe. The tobacco is long gone but ghosts remain.

Another stressful week but I was able to enjoy Sutliff 507-C in the Vauen Olaf bent egg twice and now a welcome surprise ... Sutliff Match Sunrise in the Pete Pub and it is surprisingly mild and flavorful much more so than normal ... no bite, no tang, and several flavors coming through one after another. Very relaxing.

I ran out of lighter fluid for the Zippo but found an "old" (20+? 30+? yrs old) bottle of Topco brand charcoal lighter in the corner of the garage (I couldn't find the Kingsford) ... it said petroleum naptha and seems to still ignite. It will hold me until I get new supplies tomorrow or Thursday.
