I’m smoking a bowl of Anthology, and reminiscing about good times spent with my Dad. I’ve spent the weekend in the critical intensive care unit, after my father suffered a massive heart attack Friday evening. All four arteries were blocked, and he’s not a candidate for bypass surgery. A pump was installed in his heart to keep him alive until they could attempt to “rooter” a couple arteries and install stents. We were told to hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. The surgery was a success and we still have him with us. He’s not out of the woods by any stretch, but we now have hope, and that’s what we’re clinging to. If anyone here talks to the man upstairs, and is so inclined, please send one up for my Dad.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am nearing the half way mark on this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Espresso, neat, is my drink.

Squadron Leader in a Stanwell 32 straight bulldog silke brune finish, to go with my other 32 in a smooth finish. Cooler weather here, and cloudy, in central N.C.

Tar Wheel, my thoughts are with you and your dad, hoping for healing and a return to better health for him.

Have about a third of a bowl left of year 2018 Solani 633 in a straight 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. Needed some more perique, and this pipe was made for this blend.
