And now the final contender at the moment for a bulk-available equivalent to English #1 is Sutliff Match BS 759 in the Savinelli 315 KS. Considering the dark fired Kentucky present and the smell upon opening the bag being most similar, I have higher hopes for this one. And initially it does seem to be a closer match than the other two, we'll see once I reach the bottom of the bowl but the char light was promising. ?

Though, if it goes how I think it will, even if not exactly like English #1, it will prove to be a good bulk of go-to, all-day smoke for me.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and closing in on the half way mark on this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Espresso, neat, is my drink. DVR'd the Braves-Phillies game while I was out, so I'm watching that now.

Half way through this bowl of year 2013 Rotary Navy Cut in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Smoking Pipes to bring back this model. Been listening to Bob Costas talk about Vin Scully. I never seen Costas choke up with emotion before. A very touching moment.

Off to run a few errands with a bowl of Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Happy to learn that you leave the house for more than just walks. I thought is was walks, work, baseball and the kitties:) Oh, and plenty of bowls of course.

Samuel Gawith Grousemoor in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969, vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.

I always keep saying VA lovers, and Aro lovers, check this one out, loads of VA flavor, with a lot of wonderful other notes. :)

I figured two days in a row smoking this pipe, at this age, certainly wasn’t going to bother it, with it needing a rest. LOL ?

Here’s a few other pics I’ve posted in the past, of different angles, to see the blast better.

This blast pattern on the front, I always look out, wondering, who came up with this, was it intended or an accident. Either way, I wish you could see it in person. hmm ?

P.S. This one goes out to @Chasing Embers who said;

Nicotine & Caffeine are my Ambrosia.

Well this is all I’m having at the moment, a puff and java this morning, filling a nicotine and caffeine void here too today, and remembered what he said. :sher:
