Almost half way through this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. First time smoking this pipe. Took a while to decide what to smoke in it, but I figured a strong VaPer was the right way to go. And, I am correct! :)

A third of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker in a smooth brown late 1890s, early 1900s unbranded military mount bulldog with a nickel windcap and spigot with a black vulcanite, flared stem and orific bit. I'll finish the day with this smoke. Watching another baseball program on C-Span 3.

Good Morning men! It's another beautiful day in paradise here in Florida. It is currently 73 and expected to climb into the 90s by mid day with the usual scattered thunder storms by the afternoon. I am starting my day by finishing up this tin of Brown No:4 and then I will continue hammering away at these Cascadia Pipe Company Plugs. Having killed off the first one called Open Water I think it is time to try one of their other offerings - maybe Down Wind. As an after thought have you ever wondered who thinks up these names? Mad Men they are certainly not! I mean seriously when you say 'Down Wind' what immediately springs to mind? I know what it suggests to me rotf

My pipe 'du jour' is one of my favorite beaten up late Victorian meerschaum 'cutty' pipes with a silver band and a meerschaum 'butt plug' to keep the dendrites out of the stem as we have a total lack of suitable feathers to use as pipe cleaners. Enjoy your Saturday!

Ten Russians out of my ‘ugly hunting pipe’. Its a straight billiard sitter ‘Prince of Wales’ stamped on it. Chamber is about .80 inch wide & and almost 2” deep. Varnish worn in many spots. I got it for when bowhunting for elk up in the mountains, so wanted something that I wouldn’t care about if lost or broken. Paid $10 for it on ebay. It turned out to be an excellent smoker, so now I’d actually hate losing it.
