Just finished a Chicago Pipe Club meeting (they were all at the Arlington Pipe and Cigar Lounge, and I on ZOOM). It was great to connect with my friends. Hopefully I can soon join them.
I'm still out here, under the gazebo, finishing up my bowl of McClelland's Klenderwood, a 2005 reintroduction of a Barry Levin blend. This was presented as a tenth anniversary special edition at the 2005 CPCC show. It is a wonderfully smooth, Oriental forward, English blend, that has mellowed nicely.
I'm smoking it in the Sherlock Holmes Smooth Strand, that my wife purchased for me, at the Grafton Street Peterson shop, on our trip to Ireland, in 2002. I'm sipping my tea and Honey Jack cocktail.

Now smoking Wilke No. 172 in a 1980 smooth medium brown Lorenzo Ambra 803 Oom Paul with a pearl colored acrylic saddle stem. Watching Nature on PBS.
M'lady does. I used to run a restaurant and taught her how to cook. It's become her hobby. My hobby is eating her cooking.
Earlier today, C & D Opening Night in a Peterson bent pot. Currently, Kramer's a Blend for Cary Grant in a Rossi Rubino billiard. First cool night in a while, and I haven't smoked this in months. It may be my favorite blend.
A bit more Clan in my clay. Went to Mum & Dad's yesterday and done a lot more work on my sword training model, followed by a sword fight with Dad!

Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am now smoking Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1982 smooth straight Dunhill Root Briar 31051 Dublin with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Going to do some work now.

Wilke Vermont Maple Cavendish in a blasted-finished Volkan bullcap. It's been too darn hot today to think about puffing anything stouter or more complex than a simple aromatic.
A quarter of the way through this bowl of D&R Penhooker Silver in a 1982 smooth straight Sasieni Ivory 105 Apple with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Working and listening to Richard Diamond, Private Detective.

What a lovely BBB! I'm curious about the button/slot. I don't believe I've seen one like that before on a BBB (or maybe it's just the angle). I don't think I've ever seen that shape either, come to think of it. Thanks for sharing your collection. I look forward to seeing the rest of the early-20th-century pieces now that we've moved on to that part of the exhibit.
