Smoking a bowl of the 4th Generation Small Batch Aged Virginia (which was provided by Samuel Gawith). This is clearly aged, quality tobacco. Either a very rough ribbon cut or rubbed out, I'd say the latter. Perfect moisture level to pack and smoke. Loaded up my newest Rubio Dragon Scales Billiard and applied fire. The aged and refinement of the tobacco is obvious immediately. Kind of reminds me of a cross between aged FVF and BBF. I get a few hints of citrus sweetness out of this that I don't normally taste in FVF in particular. As the bowl burns down, the sweetness and slight spiciness increases. Relatively full bodied, definitely full flavored. This is about as close to the perfect Virginia as you're going to get. I wish they had enough of this aged tobacco to make multiple thousands of tins available at a half way decent price.
