Not far from finishing this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

Now smoking Peter Stokkebye Bright Virginia in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. Watching the Mets manager leave his wild throwing relief pitcher in too long and they lost to the Rockies on a wild pitch.

Relaxing after a wonderful chicken and dumplings dinner with a bowl of Briar Patch King Solomon’s Mines in a medium bend 2001 Ural lattice Rhodesian with a yellow stem with white swirls.

FINALLY have a moment to sit down and enjoy my very first EVER bowl of Penzance. Smoking in my trusty Peterson system 317, second real pipe I ever bought (beyond drugstore Grabows). I'm not ready to admit this is the end all of pipe tobaccos, but it's damn close to it in my relatively short little pipe smoking life (about 10 years so far). I'm still constantly exploring and ordering new blends to try, but I could definitely see myself stopping here and smoking nothing but Penzance for the rest of my life. But considering how hard it was for me to even secure a small sample (thanks to a generous trade from a forum member), I'll have to jar what I have and whatever I can get my hands on in the future and save it for those special bowls when I can really shut the world out. I'm hoping that the G.L. Pease - Quiet Nights I have on the way will be as comparable as I've heard. It's much easier to find. :puffy:
