Relaxing after a wonderful pork brisket and tater tots dinner and am now smoking the best durn tobacco made today: Strang in a 2003 smooth medium bend straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin and a black acrylic stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink. Watching the Pirates-Tigers game and thinking about decisions about what watch to buy. So many good choices available!

Just cracked a tin of Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding special reserve. I have smoked the regular but not this. I am smoking it in yet another Neerup bent billiard.
The simple pleasures of good tobacco, a pipe and a gentle breeze on the back deck in the evening. I am not sure things could be better.

Half way through this bowl of Angler's Dream in a slight bend 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 grain etched with a smooth front with a black vulcanite stem. Watching the news.

Now smoking D&R Three Sails in a 1980s straight smooth Big Ben pot with a nickel band and a black vulcanite stem. Watching have Gun, Will Travel.

A blend of D&R Bulks: equal parts Windsail, Ramback, and about 15% Sigarro in a Royal Duke straight billiard sans filter.

D&R "Raccoon's Delight" in a small Missouri Meerschaum cob. This is a blend that, on the face of it, I would assume that I wouldn't like. It's a rough cut VaBur, with the Virginia being processed as Perique. What a surprise! Rich, yet aromatic, almost tastes like there are Orientals in there. I'll be buying more of this. Thanks for the sample, Jim.
