Part way through this bowl of a fresh pouch of Iwan Ries Three Star Blue in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic stem. Listening to Vin Scully on the XM. What a difference in taste this blend has when it's fresh. Much, much better than the sample I smoked in the past.

Well, I've been up for an hour and a half, so I've already smoked a MM Pride full of PA and taken a very brief look outside as I 'lunted' in the pre dawn 'coolness' of this Florida morning.

I'm about to smoke my Kaywoodie Prime grain 99B with a VA free (no VA) Burly Balkan I mixed a couple of weeks ago.

Contents: C&D Dark Burly, Izmir, and Lat, and McLelland's Lat and Perique. Nothing overly dominant except perhaps the burly base. Still, you gotta have a base, and I do love what burly brings to the story.

Curly Block in a Morgan mini cob. You can always tell when I'm working under pressure as the Morgan comes out - less pipe to catch with the 'phone, I can chew the stem without worrying about teethmarks, short smokes to avoid headspins, and capacity to knock-out and reload without damaging briar.
