As I said last post a few pages back, tax rebate time is the best time of the year. And I've frivolled it all away on Toys. I'm sitting here smoking a Colt Whiskey, right now, which tastes exactly like the previous 3 cigars I've smoked today. A bit like warm, wet charcoal. As does whatever I eat. Hoping this whatever it is passes soon.

So as I said back there last post, I'm pushing the button one more time today, and I did so. A bit of background here; as most of you know, I'm half English and half Polish. And I have a few English pipes already. But no Polish pipes. I have also been very strongly considering a nose-warmer, after warming up to that mini-cob I bought a month or so back. So I now present to you "tweak aquisition #3", a Polish-made Nosewarmer by the Polish artisan Mr. Brog.

I remember a newcomer to the forum, who was Polish and whom I haven't seen online since, sending me a PM on this Maker who is apparently very well known. And that Poland has quite a pipe following. I think I remember my Polish Grandfather smoking a pipe in a pictures, (he died before I was born) and my uncles on the Polish side all smoked, so there must be a following there. I don't know, and would appreciate anybody who does commenting. So, as was often said in the movie "Amadeus", "There it is!"

Have to lay off for a couple of government paychecks - time to catch up on groceries.

I've passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 1984 medium bend black grain etched Savinelli Non Pareil 9310 pokerish dublin with a horn ferrule and a black vulcanite flared stem. I let Harry the Hairy in to eat, and afterward, he jumped on my lap for attention. When he wants attention, he has a very needy look on his face. Daisy the Feral Princess was jealous of all this because as soon as Harry landed on the floor, she ran over and took a swipe at him. I chastised Daisy, and she ran to a corner of the room so I wouldn't put her out. Abner the Eager's been snoozin' on the couch for a while. I'm reading baseball box scores when the ferals let me.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke Back Bay w/o perique in a straight smooth brown undated pre-Republic Peterson Dublin Sterling Canadian 264 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. I just let the sleepy looking Abner the Eager out, and Daisy the Feral Princess came back in. Fed my cats, and Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Still have a few box scores to read.
