I thought I had the bowl, but had work gloves on so I’m guessing the shank was across my palm with more pressure than I was aware.
My untrained eye doesn’t see any obvious issues.

Bottom line: if this is the worst thing that happens today, I’m still blessed to be a prince among men!
Well, be grateful it wasn't your Bo Nordh!

Smoking a bowl of St. Bruno, in a MM General bent. Trying to assimilate yesterday's blackout. I don't think I'll make it in time today, I imagine the toilet paper will be out. Today will be the star product to buy. Besides, I hear the police sirens very often, so I'd better go and buy some other day. All this comes from having replaced the professional formation institutes by the profession of youtuber. May God remember the mortals.View attachment 388989
Hang in there sir. My prayers for safety of you and yours.

Erinmore Flake in a Bari de Luxe. I have a couple of questions about this blend in particular. I’m a newbie pipe smoker and don’t have that much of an access to a lot of pipe tobacco blends in Portugal. Having said that, I try to read some information about blends mostly over here in the forum. About this one in particular, I’d like to know if it’s considered as an aromatic blend(since I don’t find it to be so) and if someone has had a strong ghost in a pipe after smoking it… so strong that even when you smoke what you think to be a stronger aromatic or Latakia it doesn’t disappear. Sorry in advance if my English is not perfect or hard to understand.IMG_2525.jpeg

Tax rebate is the best time of the year. Let me purchase the Rhodesian Meer I posted last week - should be arriving in about a week or ten days. Mentioned I was tweaking my collection - probably 8 pipes in total - giving them away to grateful (and helpful, too!) friends, and replacing them with upgrades that I know i'll use. Here's tweak #2. Should be here in a week or ten days, too. Pulling the trigger on #3 tonight, and that'll take care of my rebate, along with the tobacco seeds and indoor range traps and gizmos.

Next big spendathon? On pipes, probably not. Perfectly satisfied with my collection and their upcoming tweaks. Currently puffing on a Swisher's Sweet's Grape - a perfectly good little fella that tastes about the same as the Phillies Blunt I had this morning . . . it'll be all kinda charcoally until this malady runs it's course. 'Course, I still get Vitamin N.

NEW ROPP J06.png

Chose this pipe because I don't have a Tomato Bowl, and after examining each example of the J06s that were available, it seemed to have the best fitting stem. :)

Actually, your written English is perfectly understandable and clear. As for your question, I dunno because I've never tried Erinmore Flake, alas.

If a pipe had a soul, this is how it would wanna go. It totally beats being sat in a drawer for decades.

First off, I LOVE Eastfarthing and the STG mess had me panic buying it in addition to other favorites like the rest of us here. Today, I got in the ingredients for a mock version of it in the hopes that I'll keep my palette satisfied when the 17 tins I'm hoarding have made their transformation into dottle and ash.

I was told to blend Stokkebye PS17 and Lane HGL at a 50/50 ratio and let it marry in a jar for at least 6mos.

Did so but split in two with 10g in a smaller jar for sampling before aging.

I'm now trying it, freshly mixed, in my Moretti Devil Anse. I've got to say right off the bat, this is dang close! I'm now very hopeful for the two that will sit and age while I enjoy the real deal for a while. One jar is dated for opening in October for a try and the other for May of next year to see what happens with time. Maybe this'll fill a void and the real tins left by that time can be broken into sparingly over the years to come.
