Time out on the water is definitely therapeutic. The creeks and rivers are running at high flow for awhile. There are a few rivers that allow fishing this early. Most prime creek water opens after Memorial Day. Lakes are open most of the year. Decided this was the year to dial in my Kokanee fishing skills on the lakes near us. Once the run-off begins to slow and the rivers become more “fishable”, I’ll grab the fly rod and a pipe and head out!The fishing was good! Just what I neededThe grannoms were still around, along with some Hendricksons, and they provided the feast; we fooled some of the dumb ones.... I'm guessing you guys are still dealing with run-off?

Busy working on reports today, with hockey in the background later. Here’s a fantastic smoker, whoever owned this pipe originally loved it enough to repair band it. It has two giant cracks, a repair band, an orific bit, no condenser and a loose collar. Theoretically it’s a train wreck; however, it’s an amazing smoker. It’s a 1923 Peterson with a giant bowl. It’s loaded with Marlin Flake that’s been aged 10 years. This will easily be a three hour smoke.

Good morning and happy Sunday. Easing into the day with some hot coffee and a bowl of MB London Mixture in a Brebbia. I spent yesterday afternoon working on my bicycles and while I enjoy doing my own maintenance and upgrades, I really really hate removing and putting on wire beaded tires. I had to do that with two sets yesterday and my thumbs are tender lol. Anyways although I’ve been out riding since early February I’m excited to do so in a daily basis now that the weather is getting nicer.
