C&D SOTE in this GBD Constitution 9456. This is one of my favorite shapes.
This pipe is very well made and finished. This is obviously post Cadogan due to the name, Made In London in a circle and the Lucite stem. But as far as I have found it's very early after the merger due to the brass rondel. It also has an L stamped on it. Nobody seems to know why. If anyone here knows, I'd like to know.....you know?

Passing the quarter mark of this bowl of Wilke Lizzie Blood Virginia in a straight black with a burgundy undertone sandblasted early 1960s Lane era Charatan 420 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This should get me to dinner time. Cleaned a few pipes, and gave Abner the Eager some attention. He's on top of my chair right now.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and green beans dinner with the other half of the chocolate meringue pie. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Sutliff 1849 in a medium bend smooth dark brown 1968 Corporate Era Barling 5631 London England TVF billiard silver spigot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Yankes-Jays game while waiting for the Braves-D-Backs game to start.

2021 Mad Fiddler Flake in the Richard Mason Blasted Strawberrywood Big Apple, and another go with an ancient bottle from the cellar.

Successful extraction of the whole cork! and decanted. This bottle of Sebastiani Barbera is undated, and my best guess is from 1970~1972. Well past malolactic fermentation and well into the oxidative stage. Color is brown with a faint reddish tint remaining. Sherry notes on the nose and tongue. Not at all unpleasant for my evaluative testing, but spouse will have nothing to do with it (as usual when i get on my old wine kicks) and few guests rarely appreciate these trials. Works for me and doesn't fight the Mad Fiddler. 👍
