Enjoyed a Jethro Bodine size bowl of Raisin Bran with extra raisins and unsalted peanuts as an appetizer. :) I followed that up with a Jethro Bodine size bowl of freshly made chili topped with sharp cheddar cheese and a golden delicious apple for lunch. Dessert is cooling. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Loaded the dishwasher, fed Sleepy Suzy, and am watching the Red Sox-Mariners in the seventh inning. The Sox have too many deficiencies to win their division.

The character of Jethro Bodine was based on the character of Sy Thomas, who in real life was my wonderful Uncle Jiggs (Gerald Agee).

The dead pan self deprecating riotously funny humor of the Beverly Hillbillies and the Ma and Pa series in The Index that inspired it was the sole creation of my grandmother Myrtle (Ma) Cahow Agee, 1897 - 1980.

And there really was a Bug Tussle.

A young man named Emmet Molder and his wife bought the Hamlet store from an old man named Hamlet in the twenties and changed the name to Bug Tussle.

When I was a toddler Ma Agee would take me to my back yard, and say

Could you show me Bug Tussle?

I’d point a half mile Northwest and say, There’s Bug Tussle, don’t you see it Grandma?

She’d reply I’m an old lady and all I see is a little house way over yonder.

Let’s go to the Grade A milk barn and have your Daddy tell us all, about how Bug Tussle used to be.

If I’m not a good man, it’s impossible to blame my upbringing.

Now smoking and still reviewing GLP Ellipsis Flake (Zeitgeist Collection) in a medium bend 2001 Ural lattice Rhodesian with a yellow with white swirls acrylic saddle stem. Trying to be more precise regarding the balance level of the Va.s, Izmirs, and perique, not to mention the white burley and unsweetened Dominican black cavendish. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Giants-Brewers game. Btw, dessert was almost half of a chocolate meringue pie.

Kramer's Blend For Cary Grant in a Savinelli Noce 320. I'm not a fan of rusticated pipes. In most cases I can't stand them so I have only a few. But the Noce, meaning nut, is rusticated to resemble a walnut. This works especially well with the 320. And being unstained and unwaxed, it is of course a joy watching this darken naturally over time. I hope to find another of these some day, as they come with two stems, one as pictured and a black stem. I think I'd like to leave black on the other.1000000815.jpg
