A beautiful pipe. I take note of a pipe that will be smoked at a downward angle, with the bowl hanging around 45 degrees or so. Reason: hat's my preferred position when I light up and smoke. This one is especially beautiful aesthetically as well. And looks like it would fit the hand beautifully, too.
Thank you, Gord. It pulled at me for several visits to an old-local B&M and finally wrangled a deal with both of us happy. :) It's a good smoker and does hang well. Enjoyed your recent comment on photography! I rely on my old iphone for my pipe pics and know it is a curse for getting correct color let alone every other balance.

The Gentleman From Richmond
I liked the old stuff because it was different. This current stuff tastes like a dozen other blends.
One thing I did notice, is this current stuff KIND OF smells(in the jar) and even tastes a bit like McClelland VAs.
It's actually closer than a couple of the "match" blends I've tried.
I'll be opening a jar of 13 year old 5100 soon. Then I can do a direct comparison.
I’ll be curious to see what you decide between the two. I wish I had an older tin to do the Pepsi Challenge.
