Near the first third of this bowl of BV Jupiter Slices 7.1 in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Shane Ireland at Smoking Pipes and Peterson to bring the pipe back into production. This should get me to dinner time. Getting ready to watch the Braves-Marlins game.

Samuel Gawith Cannon Plug in a Falcon Twister this afternoon! puffy

I've tried a LOT of floral Gawith blends this year, and while most of them were misses for me I can safely say that Cannon Plug has been the biggest hit! I can barely even begin to describe exactly what it tastes like, but the closest analogy I can make is that it tastes like the way my grandmother's house always smelled around Christmas time when I was growing up. It's got some holiday spice, a little mild floral note, and warm toasty steam pressed Virginia goodness that reminds me of bready confections baking in the oven. Cannon Plug also has a surprisingly hefty nicotine kick as well, while still being perfectly smooth on the retrohale with no sinus burn at all!

I've been enjoying Cannon Plug so much that I actually ordered a tin of Samuel Gawith's Best Brown Flake this afternoon, since apparently it's the same tobacco blend used in Cannon Plug but without any toppings. I'll be very curious to find out what the Virginias in this one taste like on their own, but the toppings do make Cannon Plug a really special blend and one of my absolute favorite Lakelands!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, salmon and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves lose to the Marlins.

Grazed the mustang this morning on the new grass (his slogan is "you grow it, I mow it!" :ROFLMAO:)coming in all around the ranch. This should help keep the weeds under control as spring progresses. Keeping me company was Mac Baren Vanilla Flake in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian. Still amazed at how different the flake is from the loose cut. 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Golden-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, House finch, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, American crow, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Band-tailed pigeon, Spotted towhee, Western bluebird, Northern flicker, Nuttall's woodpecker, Mountain chickadee, and Red-tailed hawk.

Hoping the Kings' 3-0 victory over the nemesis Oilers is a sign of things to come when the playoffs begin. Can't believe Ovi is going to break Gretzky's record tomorrow, most likely.
