Pipe Dreamer and Star Gazer
That appears a gold inlaid five pointed star Two Star grade Lee, and is that a blast or rusticated ?

If that’s a sand blasted Lee, I want one.:)
lol. If I were to sell it… and it is a decent pipe … it would not be to someone who would leave it in a barn buried under a bucket of pipes. It’s rusticated, although I can see why someone might think of it as sandblasted. This pipe required a whole lot of cleaning before it was ready to be smoked after I got it several years ago. It is an excellent example of the second generation genre.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2020 Angler's Dream in a 1984 Stanwell Antique 124 egg with a smooth brown front and a black sandblasted back with a dark gold ferrule and black vulcanite stem in the military mount style. I may end the day with this smoke. Daisy the Feral Princess and Harry the Hairy each took two turns coming in and wanting out. Each ate once, and the other time they just wanted to see what was going on. I've taken occasional looks to see if Abner the Eager was around, and a few minutes after my last post, I saw him on the door mat. He used to walk right in, but the last couple of weeks, I've had to pick him up and bring him in. He ate a lot more than usual, laid down in the den for a few minutes, then went back to the kitchen to eat a little more and drink some water. He certainly does like drinking water. After that, he wanted back out, but I gave him some attention first, which he seemed to like. But, he really just wanted to go back outside. Tomato the Brave is still snoozin' on the couch. I'm reading baseball scores now that it's quiet.

When I was buying a few Lees every week I never found a true sandblast, but if I ever do, odds are it’s a second gen 5 point Two Star.

I suspect the change was an improvement and not cost cutting, most days. For whatever reason, Lee sold a lot of unusual Two Star second gen pipes.

The Gentleman From Richmond
Had a podiatry appointment earlier and afterwards, bowled down Holloway Road, pushing the wheelchair in an athletic fashion while puffing the fugly Dunhill 3421 Zulu full of FVF. Lunting on wheels, beard flapping in the slipstream, blessing the natives with a decent tobacco aroma, felt good. Gotta show them how it's done.
That made me laugh 🤣 had to be a sight to see 😂
