Near the half way mark of this bowl of year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Tomato the Brave wanted back in for food and attention, and just went back out . Daisy the Feral Princess has been snoozin' in her corner in the den for a few hours. She thinks everywhere she goes is hers. Haven't seen Abner the Eager today, but tracking tells us that he's been around the neighborhood and spends a fair amount of his time in the corner circle below our house. Harry the Hairy was inside for a few hours, but is out now.

Relaxing after a wonderful small salad, a pound and three quarters worth of pork chops with mac' and cheese dinner. Haven't eaten mac' and cheese since before I started this diet years ago. Dessert was a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream. I'm smoking year 2022 unreleased Sutliff Brown Virginia Flake in a 1920s medium bend smooth dark brown BBB Umbra bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Guess what bloomed again a few days ago? Keep picking off the blooms so the plant will keep on growing. Got two plants, but t'other has never bloomed so I'm presuming it's a male plant but I don't know what I'm talking about.

Picked a couple of leaves off these plants when they'd died and withered and dried them out. Guess what I'm gonna do tonight? I'm interrupting the flow of my planned posts on special smokes for this news update.

Being a born experimenter, I'm going to start at the beginning, pretending I'm a primitive playing around with a new species that just appeared in my area. Interesting (perhaps) Drivel follows the two pictures.

Interesting (perhaps) Drivel:

Playing primitive, I'm simply going to chop these up and smoke them as they are. After that, I'm going to pick a couple of fresh leaves and do the same. (pretty much know they'll be to moist to smoke, but remember, I'm playing primitive.) Probably will dry them out a bit first, though. I know nothing about tobacco plants and/or harvesting and processing. Working blind.

Then I'll contact a couple of guys PM style who I know that have done this before and get them to set me straight. But I want to play making mudpies first.

I've showed the knife (Bucklite Wild Orange) because of the current crop of knife displays and thought I'd join in. It's my field knife, for both small game and fish. Have also used it as an emergency tool on a couple of small blackies and a small, stupid spike mulie that showed up when I was shooting rabbits. Won't tell you what I was shooting the rabbits with lol. I chose this knife because I'd had a fondness for the Buck Folders but I lost several, couldn't find them cause they blend in with fall and early winter cover. And they weren't cheap, even back in the stone age. No such problem with this ugly duckling, try as I may. It's been with me since the Bucklite was introduced, oh, 25 or 30 years ago?? It's no longer available in this color, alas, but you can get it in florescent green or yellow, I think. Not as visible in fall foliage imho.

I'll let y'all know as soon as I catch up on my other posts I'd planned. Oh yeah, I do know now that these plants came from a packet of Oriental seeds.
