About to light up some Cornell & Diehl’s Haunted Bookshop in one of my favourite pipes, a Vauen Dr. Perl 4284 M with a 3mm adapter while I take my dog out for a walk. It was an unsmoked estate I picked up with a replacement acrylic fishtail stem from a Vauen Verde series pipe, a grey bowl lining and an off center bore. It’s completely amazing to me that a pipe bowl from so long ago nearly perfectly fits a modern day stem from the same company.

Good day all! Watched the frontal squall go through while enjoying a bowl of Peterson Royal Yacht in a Savinelli Autograph flame grain Billiard with plateau rim and flattened shank with matching saddle stem. Now waiting for the tornado watch to expire with GH Ennerdale Flake in a dedicated Tilshead smooth Cutty with eighth-bent tapered stem. My kind of storm chasing. Hope everyone is safe out there.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica And So To Bed in a 1990 smooth brown Peterson Irish Second Hungarian natural with a tapered black vulcanite fish tail stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in a while. At twenty bucks in 1990, it was, and still is, a great deal.
