Well, I was enjoying a nice bowl of Ennerdale Flake in my Peterson Junior Rusticated Billiard while out on a dog walk.

One unexpected tug of the leash later and wheeee, the pipe goes flying and there goes $85 when it hits the concrete. 😣

That was the first and only time I've ever dropped a pipe, but I think the lesson to be learned here is that if I want to smoke a pipe while out walking then just bring an inexpensive cob. Thankfully the Peterson was a factory pipe and can be replaced, but I did really like that pipe so I'm still sad about the loss. From here on out it's cobs only for dog walking!

Maybe a steel inner tube and glue will make this smokable and it can be your beater pipe for walking the dog.

Close to finishing the last of my open stash of year 2017 E-soterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Actually, it's more like a bowl and half as I poured in the rest of the tiny bits once I passed the half way mark. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Braves-Marlins game as I watch Sam and the Scampers in their playpen.
