I have been bashing away at work 'sh*t' since 4.30 this morning. I realized that every day I smoke the same types of tobacco without ever varying what I do so this morning I thought I would try something different. I have mixed equal parts Black X twist with Brown twist to make what I would call a 'Black and Tan' blend. YMMV but in a short meerschaum 'cutty' it burns quite slowly and isn't the worst thing I have ever tried unless you count the time I went on a Condor RR and Tambolaka binge!

@condorlover1 Sounds like it would suit my clays!

That’ll give you plenty of time to gather up just the right tobacco for the occasion. 😉
@Speak Easy Yes and I think the clay pipe should taste even better lit from the forge after waiting a few months:)
Got it lit by the blacksmith at 3 events last year; the Vikings / Redcoats at Cromford Mill & Derbyshire Woodland Festival.

Nording F Moss Freehand - purchased from Larry in the last few years that he owned John Dengler Tobacco. This pipe has been dropped from over 25 feet onto hard concrete and you can't find the nick. Always a reliable smoker. Today, WCC #558 Flake. What, you thought I would put some Buoy Gold in it?
