Passing the half way mark of this bowl of Wilke Picket’s Charge in a post-WW2 straight smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 3 Shamrock bulldog with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. This blend is Wall Street with much less perique (10%) than the regular W.S.

Ended the workday (and this brief respite between snowstorms) with a bowl of Ashton Winding Road in a La Rocca Due bent billiard. A different Ashton blend, Gold Rush, was briefly considered to celebrate another record high for gold, but with 30+ jarred blends going at the moment, I'm averse to cracking any more new tins for the time being. Suffice to say, when gold hits 3k/oz., I'll crack the damn tin already.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Dark-eyed junco, Spotted towhee, California towhee, California quail, Steller's jay, American crow, Mourning dove, House finch, Northern flicker, White-crowned sparrow, American tree sparrow, Oak titmouse, White-breasted nuthatch, and Mountain chickadee (my favorite).

Sipping some white wine, with roasted chicken on the docket. Doesn't get much better!

Wow - didn't check this Forum yesterday (Apr 1), then today found there are already 15 pages (!).
Took awhile, but I went through all of them, enjoying all the tobaccos being smoked and savoring all the pipes being used .... with a bit of green-eyed envy.
I'm smoking Fillmore with a touch of McClelland 5105 added .... (thanks, Craig!) .... in a London BBB 504 Canadian.
NOTE to BenMN:
I'm sure you've already seen this on Page1 = a really excellent "review" of Union Square by Skippy B. Coyote.
This was followed on Page2 by Cloozoe's comment about enjoying Union Square with a little Bold Kentucky added. My 2 tins of Union Square (resting since 2013) might be calling my name now, a bit louder.
Hoping to maybe see Ted & Barry in 2 weeks!

Nice to see Union Square getting some attention. 11 years will have it smoking great.
Looking forward to next club meet-up.
Skippy is in St. Paul, I think. Skippy, you wanna come?

Now smoking 2021 Watch City Simply VOriental in a straight smooth medium brown 1930s Wilshire 5 bulldog (Comoy’s second) made for John’s Pipe Shop in Los Angeles with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Listening to Gunsmoke from my radio collection.

Did a little low calorie snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
