C&D Mountain Camp -- Lat, Per, Va, Turk, and burley -- in a Chacom straight taper-stemmed billiard in a green dye finish made especially for Iwan Ries, but stamped by Chacom (not a house pipe).

Just back from Walgreen, which I call my trading post, for the usual varied items -- an Rx for my wife, two boxes of kitty litter, a bottle of my vitamins, and a folder for the tax material to drop off tomorrow.

I abhor Walgreens and it's ilk. Reminds me of the homogenized corporatism culture we've been subjugated to. I miss my local family owned pharmacy! I drove way out of my way for the last of it's kind which sadly closed in 2016. Now it's CVS and their Nazi ways.

Good morning guys. We start with the second bowl of the morning. sg, full virginia flake, in a Ser Jacopo Calabash. 64.4 °F at almost 12 am. Let's have a scotch, while I listen to some fm music US folk. Although I think God is lately, very busy, fighting the evil that plagues this forsaken earth. I wish you a happy weekend, and God bless you. View attachment 214722

Prepping a celebratory bowl of C&D Pegasus in my Stefano Santambrogio bent Rhodesian. Finally feeling like spring around here. Horse is calming down, almost back to normal. Glad that whole ordeal is in the past now...I feel like I just moved! 😩

Bird report: California scrub-jay, California towhee, Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, Purple finch (rare!), Steller's jay, House finch, Northern flicker, California quail, Spotted towhee, Common raven, and California thrasher.

@JOHN72 you are 100% spot on. He certainly has His work cut out for him in that regard!

Happy weekend all!

We have Purple Martins and Yellow Finch, both common but two of my favorite birds. A Purple Finch has to be beautiful sight.
