St James flake from 2012 ex @weezell in a meerschaum 'cutty' pipe. I am fast coming to the conclusion that this stuff is probably quite good fresh but after 10 years it is a bit on the flat side. Anyway I am off to bed. I'll see you all tomorrow if the big fellow upstairs says it is my future.

Passing the quarter mark on this bowl of year 2016 Peter Heinrichs Dark Strong Kentucky in an undated family era Sasieni Natural Four Dot Grosvenor smooth medium brown quarter bend bulldog with a black tapered vulcanite stem.

SWR in a Foyard Rhodesian, while doing some horse corral maintenance. Finished the bowl in tandem with a scotch highball after everything was finished. Chicken chili w/vanilla cake dessert awaits!

Bird report: California scrub-jay, California thrasher, California towhee, Steller's jay, Mountain chickadee, Northern flicker, House finch, Western bluebird, Dark-eyed junco, and Common raven.

Got about half a pound of Scotty's Trout Stream as a b-day gift, so I'm looking forward to trying it tomorrow. Happy weekend all!

The peretti crown was a blah for me, very dry sample. Will try mixing some with a moisty virginia flake or blend. I expect the rest of the 1 oz can contribute in a positive way as a condiment.

Next up, stoved MB Vanilla Flake in the Big Bent Lattice Meer with some vinho tinto de Lisboa to set the evening's glide path. Nature park never ends here: the mama does are starting to show. In general, I have no problem with them chomping and pulling out the grass...as long as they stay out of the croquet pitch.

p.s. watched Smoky and the Bandit last night. omg what a hoot! The world really is a different place from when I first saw that movie. (At least around these parts--i suppose I can't really say between Texas and Georgia.)

Just finished smoking Wilke High Hat in an undated black sandblasted straight made in France Silvermatch Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Now smoking Wilke No. 24 in a smooth straight brown 1949 Yello-Bole Century Model Lovat with a nickel band accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Haven't smoked this pipe or blend lately, so it's time to do so for a while.

First time with this blend, I’ve only had a few puffs, a really nice light sweet Red VA, with some nice complexity. Oh boy, I’m going to be spoiled now! LOL

Smoking it in a Bay Denmark apple with a cumberland stem.
