Today was hoof trimming day for the mustang, one of wifey's many talents. My job was to hold the halter and keep him calm, which I accomplished successfully with the aid of a bowl of SWRA in my MM Country Gent. Everyone enjoyed the room note.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Dark-eyed junco, White-crowned sparrow, Purple finch, California towhee, California quail, Common raven, and my favorite bird, the Mountain chickadee.

Now eyeing my mason jar of Sutliff Creme Brulee apprehensively. I'm kind of on the fence about this one. BCA and RLP-6 satisfy my sweet tooth more than adequately; this one just seems a little redundant. I wonder if I could market it as "Creme Brulee, identifies as Stonehaven, $75/oz. OBO!" It is 2023, after all... 🤭

Is the Chesterfield a system pipe? Maybe we had this conversation, but it looks similar to a Wellington WDC.
It is a system pipe, a very large version of one. The stem has the CPF logo. I have a WDC Jumbo that has the same size bowl but a standard size amber acrylic stem and the WDC Wellington which looks tiny by comparison. Awesome pipes.20230416_203615.jpg

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, two big plates of spaghetti and meatballs topped with sharp cheddar cheese with three cinnamon raisin rolls for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
