Just tried Sutliff's Elizabethan Match for the first time in this post-transition Barling. For me, the hype is real on this blend.

Part way through this bowl of Ken Byron Ventures Crimson Guard in a post WW2 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 Bulldog with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Have enough left for a couple of more smokes.

Don't buy the new version. It's a different blend, and in my opinion, inferior. The Match is based on the Murray's Elizabethan, not the current production.

I wasn't super impressed with the current Elizabethan myself, so I've been eager to try the Match which is based on an earlier Murray's version of EM. Good to see you think it's worth the hype.
