Amphora Blue (Kentucky) in my nigh-virgin Brigham Sportsman.

First time trying it and only my 4th bowl of pipe tobacco ever.

I'm still getting used to the difference compared with cigars. Cigars smell mild unlit and smoke with a lot of flavour. The two tobaccos I've tried are opposite.

Tin note (pouch note?) is this really rich BBQ smell. Almost like caramelized BBQ sauce on the grill.

The smoke flavour is well balanced.

Today a gift from a friend, who I didn't know smoked pipes, until it came up at work. Petersen Elizabethan Blend in the MM Ozark Hardwood pipe.

Enjoyed this greatly, very different from the Haunted Bookshop or Prince Albert.

Paired up quite nicely with a very robust Assam tea, and which, contrary to my usual practice (only with Assams and Ceylons really) enjoyed with just a touch of cream.
