Gawith Hoggarth Sliced Black Twist in a recently purchased Briar Works prince shape pipe. Getting notes of char broiled steak from this tobacco. Not sure if it’s my thing yet, but pairs well enough with the Grangestone 12 yr scotch that I’m sipping.

Sutliff Strawberry Delight in a 35 year old “basket pipe” marked Made in London over England shape 45. The best I can tell is that it was probably turned in St.Claude and sent to London for finishing. Parker and others used these at the time. It matches their shape chart Rugby.

Relaxing after a wonderful King Mackerel (I caught the fish), mashed potatoes and sweet corn dinner with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate covered marshmallows for dessert. Now smoking year 2014 St. James Flake in a 1980 medium bend black sandblasted silver band Peterson Donegal 805 Bulldog and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem.

Molto Dolce mixed with Carter Hall 50/50 in a Country Gentleman. The Molto Dolce has three years on it. Don’t smoke too many aros but this is nice from time to time. Age hasn’t changed it much but it hasn’t diminished it either.
