I don't normally post here because it would be so boring. Today, as everyday, I smoked all three of the C&D Blends that I have created with (the late) Craig Tarler, CEO of Cornell and Diehl, my dear friend and companion in proprietary blending. We worked so hard together for so many years and it all has been wonderful. Even though I do not receive royalties (my choice), I am so flattered by the success of my blends. But, none of that would have been possible without the interest, motivation and help from my dear friend Craig Tarler. As you know, the apple does not fall far from the tree! Craig's son, Chris, has done a fantastic job of taking over the company and continuing in the footsteps of his Dad. I congratulate Chris on the continued success of C&D!
The three blends that Craig and I created are the Captain Bob's Series as stated below:
Captain Bob's Blend (light English aromatic).

Captain Bob's Ship's Mate Blend (light aromatic Burley/Cavendish).

Captain Bob's Pot O' Gold Mixture (delightful Virginia Medley non-aromatic).

And keeping with the theme, followup is another Sam Gawith VA flake: BBF folded and stuffed (no added Perique this time) into the same pipe. Mmmmm.

Mail just came! With it came my first Carter Hall and 1-Q!
So, for right now it's a surprisingly pleasant CH in a Savinelli Billiard. For a first bowl, I'm quite impressed!
