WOOHOO!! I can finally answer this question! I have been enjoying Father Dempsey in my 69 Dunhill. My first pipe was on the side of mountain in Jackson Hole. It was an unusually warm day for the area which was nice.
I have read about new smokers not being able to taste their tobacco. I have experienced this with pretty much everything I have tried so far (1Q, English Blend, and a couple of other blends I got from Kramers Tobacco Shop EXCEPT the Father Dempsey - it has a great flavor that I am really liking. If you are experiencing no flavor as a beginner I would recommend checking it out.
