"Evanesque" was one of the last compositions by Bill Evans. It was unfinished, on a cassette Bill gave his bassist Marc Johnson before he died. Marc, who was later Elaine Elias husband and producer, shared the tape with her and she completed the composition and recorded it first, with Marc on bass, on her album Something for You; Elaine Elias Sings & Plays Bill Evans.
