I haven't really listened to any music since last winter, come spring I like listening to the songs of the birds and the wind rustling through the fresh crowns of the trees. But this evening I looked for my Anker earbuds to listen to some man-made music again, visit my playlists.
It started with something wicked,
The Herbalizer - Something Wicked This Way Comes
Then, The Blues Brothers - Perry Mason Theme
Followed by Riot In Cell Block Number Nine:
A few weird corners later and this came on:
Bula Matari - Taxi Drivers Must Die
I wanted the evening to calm down, so next came
The Dubliners - Whiskey In The Jar
And then came my old friend, my haven, my love - Classical music.
A bore to many but a vast audible universe to me. To get the blood boiling I started with
Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt - In the Hall of the Mountain King
Edvard Grieg, In the Hall of the Mountain King from "Peer Gynt" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrIYT-MrVaI
To keep the blood simmering I put on
Gustav Holst - The Planets, Mars
Gustav Holst - Mars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmk5frp6-3Q
And finally, as I settle down and sink into my couch, charring up some sweet Virginia in my clay -
Great and royal sounds invite me into the noble halls of old kings with
J.S. Bach - The Brandenburg Concertos

And with this I shall soon drift off into a cozy slumber.
