Oh man, these threads are monumental. Like, there is such a rich tapestry with the music you folks share, it’s overwhelming. It is rich, like a heavy chocolate cake.
It’s a Norman Blake afternoon. He is my favorite country songwriter, singer, and instrumentalist. Here’s old Norman playing one of his recent originals on an old guitar.
I’m old and out of it with technology so I haven’t a clue re posting these “samples” of everyone’s favorite stuff. Any advice?
Lately I’ve been listening to lots of big band stuff from all eras, including Mike Vax and the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra. BTW, Mike is now my trumpet teacher. He’s a Monster!
The people were delighted
Coming forth to claim their prize
They ran to build their cities
And converse among the wise
