Born 95 years ago today, Link Wray (who died in 2005), was a major influence in Rock history. Here is the 1958 recording of "Rumble" by Link Wray and His Ray Men that both Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page, among many others, list as the record that got them started.

Because I watched the Video this came into my YouTube recommendations. I don't know if you've seen it but It's a pretty cool 1 minute and 59 seconds.
